Our BeautyCon NYC 2016 Experience
If you are one of the over six thousand attendees who turned up at Pier 36 in Lower Manhattan on Saturday, October 1st, for the annual BeautyCon NYC festival, please wave your hands and Luxie makeup brushes in the air!

It’s been nearly two weeks since #TeamLuxie joined all the fun at this year’s BeautyCon Festival in NYC but we’re still feeling some serious symptoms of event withdrawal! This fun, interactive and glamourous event brought together hundreds of content creators and celebrities in one platform designed to have everyone mingle, network and talk about everything beauty and fashion-related! Your favorite beauty brands (*ehem* Luxie Beauty *ehem*), beauty and style influencers and top media partners were all there -- it’s every beauty-obsessed person’s dream! We literally rubbed elbows with Drew Barrymore, Kelly Rowland, Bethany Mota, Dascha Polanco, Leigh Ann, Alisha Marie, Shayla, Nikki Philippi, Jay Manuel, Alli Simpson, Kat Graham and more!
BeautyCon is just on its 3rd year but it's apparent that they have already cemented their role in helping the beauty industry grow across the country and beyond. Their conventions provided an avenue for all beauty enthusiasts to share innovative ideas and engage in positive conversations with one another. The dynamic collaboration that happens with each BeautyCon festivity is an important turning point in the organization’s objective promote beauty that is driven largely by expression of creativity, diversity and empowerment.
There’s also @iamamypham DJ-ing the afternoon away with some edgy, cool-girl tunes! The crowd was definitely ecstatic!

The lines at our booth were not only long, but also curved and snake-like -- whatever you want to call it. Our Luxie beauty educator, Evelin @makeupby_ev21, was right in front of it all chatting with just about everyone. She always has this big smile for each and every fan who come to visit our booth, not only here at BeautyCon NYC, but to all conventions we attend to.

At the heart of our booth lies our sweet Luxie ride! Born from our dedication towards “driving beauty” in all facets of our business, our booth symbolized our undying quest to create, develop and innovate beauty products to inspire the global beauty industry. It also represented our bold and courageous approach in facing and answering the ever changing needs of our loyal customers and the beauty community in general!
Innumerable fans took the time to capture selfies and photos on our motorcycle which has custom decals that read “Luxie Edition” in bold, gold letters. joined the fun. Your favourite digital influencers, @misslynn @jordvnhaus and @jeanapvp, casually slayed for all of us! See exhibits A, B and C.

Memorable BeautyCon NYC 2016 Moments
BeautyCon NYC put on several panels where all attendees can have an open dialogue about some of the most important topics in the world of beauty. All the panel discussions were important and valuable but if you’re going to ask us which panel stood out the most, it has got to be the one called “The New Face of Beauty” moderated by Liliana Vasquez. This panel featured Koleen Diaz, Jordyn Woods, Justine Skye, Summer Albarcha, Amber’s Closet, Nadia Aboulhosn and Shaun Ross. They have discussed the positive effects of welcoming various elements of diversity in the beauty and fashion industries. More and more products are now made to cater to the needs of consumers from different age groups, genders, and nationalities. We think that it’s important that the industry as a whole continue to recognize growth in inclusion.
