Generation Beauty SF 2016 Recap
The first time we attended Generation Beauty was last March in LA and it was such a magical experience! If you’ve been following our blog and IG, you know we also went to Generation Beauty NY a couple of months ago and it was just as memorable as the first time around. So what makes Generation Beauty SF even more special? We’ll just leave Dorothy’s famous line right here: There’s no place like home! On November 5th, Generation Beauty came to our “home” (the Bay Area) for the first time ever and it was everything we thought it would be. Known as the “mecca” of all beauty events, Generation Beauty SF’s event turnout was so HUGE, the venue (Pier 27) was packed to the brim! Founded by Ipsy founders, Michelle Phan, Marcelo Camberos and Jennifer Goldfarb, it once again brought together the leading online fashion and beauty creators, beauty brands and their enthusiastic fans for a weekend filled with inspiration and fun. Generation Beauty’s deep commitment towards providing a creative platform that is uniquely friendly and open paved the way in encouraging dynamic discussions among all participants during it’s 2-day run. It’s the best beauty event to go to if you wish to connect with your favourite brands, and beauty and fashion gurus in an interpersonal level. Generous gift bags filled with the latest makeup, skincare and hair care products to hit the beauty market (valued at over $200) were given to everyone including Luxie brushes. All attendees went home with a lot of goodies to experiment with this holiday season! Fans were treated with live Q&As, special talks, tutorials and meet-and-greets featuring Patrickstarrr, Manny MUA, Blanca Evette,Karen Yeung, Jaleesa Moses, Chrisspy, Evettexo and more! If we’re going to be honest, we could hardly count the number of times that the city’s noise ordinance was broken each time a special guest is introduced to the crowd. Everybody was just screaming with delight and excitement!
Luxie x Blanca Evette
Blanca Evette (@evettexo), being the queen that she is, stunned everybody with her sexy black ensemble, sleek long hair and polished, glowy makeup look! This slaying snapshot of her beside Luxie Beauty Polaris Slingshot tells it all. Evette facilitated a comprehensive brush demo using our products in front of adoring fans. Our favorite moment was when she gave away brushes to the crowd who patiently waited at long lines just to have a glimpse of our booth and buy our products. We also love how she took the time to talk to the fans during the meet-and-greet while having hundreds of selfies with them at the same time.@makeupartist_dalia
