How often should I clean my makeup brushes? Luxie Beauty recommends to clean your brushes once a week. Dirty brushes accumulate a lot of bacteria that can harm your skin and also prevent from having a good makeup application. By cleaning your makeup brushes regularly, you are going to remove the built up of product and get rid of bacteria living on the bristles. Clean your brushes easily with the next steps.

STEPS TO CLEAN YOUR BRUSHES:

You’ll need a towel, a silicone brush cleaning mat (optional) and makeup brush soap.

Step 1: Gather all your brushes. Step 2: While holding the brushes upside down, wet the bristles with lukewarm water and avoid letting the ferrule get wet. This will prevent any soap from getting into the ferrule and eating away the glue.

Step 3: Swirl around the bristles using the makeup brush soap or stroke the brush against your hand or you can use the silicone brush cleaning mat. Step 4: Rinse soap residue with lukewarm water. Repeat steps 3 and 4 if the brush is too dirty.

Step 5-6: Repeat steps 3 and 4 if the brush is too dirty. Step 7: Lay them flat dry.
